Co-ordinate Microscopes

The precision two dimensional microscopes offered by us are specially designed for measurement of an overall area of 200 sq. cms. They have a longitudinal range 20 cm and transverse vertical to longitudinal is 10 cm. with threaded rod that provides micrometer movement. Micrometer heads are made of brass and the scales of inlaid strips of stainless steel. The machined opposing surface of the carriage and the frame are inter ground to give a smooth movement free from lateral shit. The lead screws of special steel, precisely and carefully lapped which are moving on bearings. Micrometer Drums are of large diameter to read directly .001 cm or .0001 cm through a vernier (optional). The microscope tube is provided with rack and pinion focusing and with achromatic optics 2" having 10 x Ramsden eye. piece fitted with cross-line reticule. The stage is of thick transparent perspex.

A set 6 different shapes Geissler tubes 200 mm long, each tube is having different inside pressure of air discharge phenomenon. Tubes are rendered with permanent cemented caps for electrical connection, without induction coil.

Michelson Interferometer

An interferometer is a measuring device that helps in measuring rough surface profiles on a test object. The measurement is performed using radiation that is coherent over a short distance, a reference beam being periodically modulated in its path of light within propagation time. They are made to interfere with a measuring beam reflected off of the surface of the test object, and the interfered radiation being evaluated with respect to the maximum of the interference contrast. With a simple design, a high measuring accuracy is achieved in that the measuring device has a modulation-interferometer arrangement MI, in which the path of light is altered using acousto optical deflectors. A compensation device is provided for correcting the spatial decoherence and dispersion. In a downstream demodulation-interferometer arrangement, the measuring beam is interfered by the reference beam and fed to a photo detector.

Petrol Engine

Petrol engine represents a typical air cooled, side-valve four-stroke petrol engine with the operation of the valves clearly evident, cams being driven by a gear train from rear of the main crank. As with the two-stroke model, simulated spark plug uses a small lamp to indicate the firing point. Screw terminals are provided for connection to 3 volts battery. Cross-section of carburetor is shown. Mounted on base.

Polarimeter

Specially designed polarimeter have a circular scales graduated in degrees is attached near to the analyzer. The movable vernier on the scale enables reading of optical rotation to sixty seconds. Worm and gear combines rough and fine adjustments. They are provided with half wave mica plate which has 3 parts field for easy setting adjustable half shadow angle, short focus telescope with precision lenses. The instrument can be used either with white light or sodium lamp light. The polarimeter tubes corning has a glass ¾ diameter bore which is attached with bulb in the center obviate troubles due to air bubbles with self centering rings incorporated. They have end covers with spare rubber washers and end discs.

  • Complete with a set of corning glass tubes 20 cms with C.P. fittings and beautifully spray painted in wooden case, accuracy ± 15 degree.
  • Polarimeter fitted with Bi quartz in place of mica, giving coloured distinction accuracy ±5 degree.
  • Polarimeter but fitted with half shade device accuracy ±2 degree.

Research Optical Bench

An ideal instrument for use in biological educational field engaged in research work. The heavy cast base micro tome spencer type helps in ensuring rigidity and stability with protecting aluminium housing.

The feed mechanism used here is independent of the vertical movement of the object block with every complete revolution of the counter balanced drive wheel, the feed pawl engaged precisely into the teeth of the ratchet wheel, feeding on the forward stroke. The ratchet wheel rotates a feed screw which advance. The cone measure distance from left to right across the face of a vertical moving inclined plane. The compound side way provides smooth accurate object travel with 111 micro tome automatic feed. The release device is provided with it to disengages the mechanism automatically and feed is adjustable with the help of knurled knob at the back of micro tome from 1 to 50 microns. From the very first step of 1 micron, feed indicator is graduated in micron. It is conveniently placed on the front that works with the help of cord and pulley system. The locking device which locks the counter balance device wheel securely the object blocks stop at the top of its excursion so that sufficient space for orientation and fixing of blocks is obtained. Ball and flange type object clamp accommodates specimen up to 32 x 27 mm. 3 screw rigidly lock the object clamp into the position. The micro tome is given the finish in chemically resistant paint and hard chrome to the ether parts. They are available with the following accessory.

Research Polarimeter

They are widely used in medical, pharmaceutical and chemical research laboratories. It consists of a imported half shade nicol polariser, analyser, and have a 00 mm. diameter circular scale divided in degrees 0-360 x 1 and a sugar scale divided -30 to + 130x 1 ISS. They have divided micrometer drum is given to read 0.05 (3 minutes) and 0.1ISS, the scale is properly illuminated for taking readings, the body is very sturdy and separate sodium lamp stand is provided. Six position microscope with heavy sturdy base of cast iron is well machined all over. The carriage fitted with microscope slides in dovetailed groove. The fine adjustment is provided with pitch screw. Microscope is focused by rack and pinion. It is fitted with 2" or 3" focal length Achromatic objective. Ramsden Eye-piece 10x.

Scales: Are made of either Gun Metal or Stainless steel and are divided in ½ mm., on latest dividing machine. Vernier constant .001 cm. or .02 mm. The 4" dia semicircular gap is provided in order to have ease in Newton's Ring experiment.

Sodium Lamp

We are a trusted names in manufacturing sodium lamps which are a kind of gas discharge lamp which uses sodium in an excited state to produce light. There are two varieties of such lamps:
  • Low pressure:


  • The Low Pressure Sodium (LPS) Lamps, also known as Sodium oxide (SOX) Lamps, consist of an outer vacuum envelope of glass coated with an infrared reflecting layer of indium tin oxide, a semiconductor material that allows the visible light wavelengths out and keeps the infrared (heat) back.

    It even has two inner borosilicate glass U-pipes that hold solid sodium and a small amount of neon and argon gas Penning mixture to start the gas discharge, so when the lamp is turned on it emits a dim red/pink light to warm the sodium metal and within a few minutes it turns into the common bright yellow color as the sodium metal vaporizes.

  • High pressure:


  • The another kind is High pressure sodium (HPS) lamps which are smaller and contain additional elements such as mercury, and produce a dark pink glow when first struck, and a pinkish orange light when warmed. Some bulbs also briefly produce a pure to bluish white light in between. This is from the mercury glowing before the sodium is completely warmed.

    The sodium D-line is the main source of light from the HPS lamp, and it is extremely pressure broadened by the high sodium pressures in the lamp, so colors of objects under them can be easily identified.

Our spectrometer consists of a graduated circle, generally fixed in a horizontal position, to which is attached a collimator and a telescope. Its collimator consists of a tube containing an achromatic lens at one end and a vertical slit at the principal focus of the lens. The movable arm carries an astronomical telescope which is always directed towards the center of the graduated circle.

The position of the telescope with reference to the fixed circle can be read by means of a vernier. Above the center of the graduated circle is a horizontal table, called the table of the spectrometer, which is capable of rotation about the vertical axis of the circle. The position of the circle table can be determined by means of the vernier.

  • Bed:


  • Our bed has heavy casting thoroughly aged and machined true and is fitted with leveling screws. The top i.e. optical platform, the guide ways, all are machined in one operation. The guide ways over which slide the carriage is made of gun-metal or cast iron (as desired). The horizontal carriage is machined and inter ground on the guide ways. The inter grinding of the moving surfaces is carefully done to eliminate any lateral shift and to provide very smooth uniform movements. The carriage can be clamped at any position by means of the clamping screws.

  • Microscope tube:

  • Inclinable in any angle. True vertical and horizontal positions marked. Very smooth rack and pinion focusing.

  • Carriages:

  • The horizontal, vertical and right angled (transverse motion supplied in deluxe model).
    Carriages are carefully ground on their respective guide –ways, eliminating any lateral shift and giving very smooth movement. The vertical pillar of brass is rigidly fixed to the carriage and its true vertically is not disturbed even with rough laboratory usage.

  • Scale:

  • gun-metal or inlaid stainless steel scales, as desired.
    Optics: True achromatic objectives 1”, 2”, or 3” focal length. (3” f.l is supplied in the absence of specific instruction. Ramsden eye piece is 10 x with fine cross line reticule is provided.

  • Graduations:

  • These are done by finest machines in ½ mm division.

  • Verniers:

  • To read least count .000cm, .002 cm, 0r .005 cm as desired. Usually .001 cm is supplied in the absence of specific requirements.
    Slow motion:
    Movements are provided to the carriage by means of thumb screws.
